YouTube superstar Tré Melvin was unfortunately involved in a significant car accident that has left him with "severe" injuries. The vlogger and his friend Katherya both "suffered brain injuries" right through the June 22 auto collision, a observation posted on his personal Twitter said. 

While the details regarding the accident are unclear, an preliminary Twitter remark printed that both Tré and his good friend were in the hospital.

"Early Monday morning, Tré was involved in a severe auto collision with his friend Katherya. Both are currently hospitalized and have suffered brain injuries. While Tré is stable, Kathy is unresponsive," the Twitter remark learn. "Their families ask that you please send prayers, blessings, and positive vibrations their way. They will come out of this stronger and more powerful. So it is."

Sadly, in a practice up announcement, Tré published that his perfect good friend didn't live to tell the tale the tragic accident. "I survived a fatal crash. my best friend didn’t. i don’t think i have ever been this numb. ever," he posted. Adding, "To those asking, i’m (physically) okay. i was knocked unconscious on impact and my brain bled fairly heavily but the bleeding stabilized this morning. my neck + my back want me dead, but that’s what meds are for. i’m alive and i’m grateful."

Tré additionally published in a tweet that he used to be involved in a hit-and-run accident, writing, "To whoever hit us, and ran: kathy is now an ancestor. she will lead us to you." The vlogger shared a link to a GoFundMe page asking for individuals to donate to help with funeral costs.

The tragic news comes only one month after the social media celebrity announced that he used to be leaving YouTube to pursue a brand new undertaking, TreMelvin.tv. So, why did the 26-year-old make a decision to section ways with the media web site?
