Judith Love Cohen, Jack Black’s mother, was an aerospace engineer whose work helped save the Apollo 13 astronauts, as Redditors are finding.

More than four years after her demise, aerospace engineer Judith Love Cohen is getting another moment in the highlight, due to Redditors realizing she’s the mum of Hollywood celebrity Jack Black.

As an engineer, Judith labored at the steerage laptop for the Minuteman missile, the bottom device for the Tracking Data the Relay System Satellite, and the Abort Guidance System within the Lunar Excursion Module for the Apollo space program.

“Judy bought more than 100,000 of those books; held masses of in-person book-readings and seminars; and prepared lesson-kits so that masses of folks could do the same,” Neil wrote. “She should have influenced tens of 1000's of young ladies to become taken with professional careers of one kind or every other.”

And thru all of it, Judith and Tom found the time to be present for Jack, as the Jumanji actor shared in a 2011 interview with The Guardian. “My oldsters were very supportive of me and my artistic enterprise,” he stated on the time. “My father and mom got here to every school play I ever did.”
