Though the plan was once for Red to die, it seems like Liz is the one that does. Liz watches her lifestyles flash prior to her eyes, and Red cradles her in his hands. When he provides her a last kiss at the head, we see a flashback of Liz as a toddler, being held by means of her mother, who kisses her, reputedly confirming that the Red now we have come to know is Liz's real mom, after a large number of surgical procedure.
