Here's Why [SPOILER] Kills Joel in 'The Last of Us Part 2'

Major spoilers were leaked for 'The Last of Us Part 2' which show Abby killing Joel. Why does Abby kill Joel? Here's what you want to understand (if you're curious).

If you’re making plans on diving into The Last of Us Part 2, which comes out June 19, you most likely already know that new character Abby is going to be a key player (actually). We were first offered to Abby in the The Last of Us Part 2 trailer (despite the fact that technically the nature first came about in 2017), after which later realized how she knows Joel and Ellie. In fact, Abby’s tale is deeply intertwined with Joel’s. Major spoilers forward! You’ve been warned (even if, if you are studying this, you have got most probably already went forward and watched the leaked photos).

Some of you could have learned that Abby kills Joel in The Last of Us Part 2. A clip was once posted on YouTube and displays the scene in which it happens. Abby shoots Joel in the leg and then, once she has him held down by means of two other males, she takes out a golf membership and tells him, “You don’t get to rush this.” And then, thwack! Joel’s dead, or about to be very soon.

Why did Abby kill Joel?

Through a series of leaks, we learned that Abby’s dad was once one of the surgeons Joel killed on the end of The Last of Us. Much of Part 2 is set Abby’s quest to avenge her dad. And she does. She finds Joel and bashes his head in. According to Inverse, some of Part 2’s major themes include “violence and revenge.” And via seeing things from Abby’s perspective, we’re forced to take a look at Joel and Ellie from a unique attitude. And so much of other people don't seem to be large enthusiasts of that.

Most players don’t actually like Abby because they’re disillusioned they spent a whole game rooting for Joel and Ellie and now they no longer most effective need to witness Abby kill Joel, but they have got to play the nature who kills Joel (and is going after Ellie, too). It’s a odd new route that turns out to drag away from the heart and soul of the first installation.

I’m nonetheless pumped for the last of us 2 however I already know I’ll hate Abby without end. Why @Neil_Druckmann - I’m certain I’ll love the sport however I hate Abby.

kill off joel certain i’m ok with that. but killling off the way in which you probably did? that’s no longer right chief. how am i supposed to ok the remainder of the game realizing joel is useless, and ellie doesn’t even kill abby come on now!! The last of us part 1 is the one recreation this is cannon to me now.

There's also just a lot of confusion about Abby in general and there is undoubtedly a LOT of drama around a particular intercourse scene between Abby and Owen. People appear to be extra in this than the sport itself. It's unquestionably a special course for the sport.
