Did Jeff Waldroup get arrested? 'Moonshiners' lovers are apprehensive about the Appalachia-native, and not without reason. We investigate: where is he now?
Jeff Waldroup rose to reputation with an appearance on the controversial documentary collection produced through Discovery, titled Moonshiners. During his 8 years on the display, Jeff and his son, Lance, garnered attention with their unconventional, even though no much less formidable attempts at distilling alcohol at a self-built facility.

Their entrepreneurial spirit did not go omitted, and many have grown accustomed to seeing them on the display week after week.
But why did Jeff disappear? Did he get arrested? We check out where the distiller is now.
Jeff and his son, Lance, made their first look on Moonshiners in 2012, in the episode titled "Rise 'n Shine!" As would-be alcohol producers, the hilarious duo raised eyebrows with a rather questionable sales technique, slightly unorthodox production procedure — the duo depended on a coarse and in a position distillery to brew their moonshine — and overly ambitious way in opposition to distribution.

However, their unexpected rise to status did not come without a cost. Moonshiners raised many issues about what occurs to those who agree to move on digicam and publicly admit to operating a quintessentially unlawful trade — and the father-son duo was once no exception. The first wave of rumors about their possible arrest have emerged as early as 2014.

As a recently-published article via Republic World unearths, Jeff and Lance have disappeared from the show after a 2019 episode titled "Secret Backwoods Recipes." Their present career is unclear. As a concept holds, Jeff and Lance would possibly have taken to promoting their property on-line. According to Republic World, this might be their way to get back into the business and convey extra moonshine.
However, they're no longer listed as a forged member on the Moonshiners IMDb web page, and it's unknown whether they intend to make a comeback anytime soon.

Jeff and Lance are far from the handiest Moonshiners solid members who disappeared from the public view. According to Screen Rant, Popcorn Sutton used to be arrested in the spring of 2008, after brazenly admitting to his unlawful business activity while in conversation with an undercover officer. The legendary moonshiner was sentenced to jail in January 2009. He committed suicide a couple of days sooner than his 18-months-long jail sentence would have begun.

Other solid members to get into bother come with Steven Ray Tickle, a moonshiner who were given arrested a number of times; Josh Owens, who misplaced his trailer in a fire; and Chico, who was once allegedly arrested for DUI in 2015.
There was once some other contemporary rumor that Eric "Digger" Manes was arrested, however, he is so far avoided severe disagreement with police. But he, and likely the different moonshiners that participate in the collection, remember that there's a chance that, any day, they could get caught.
"As for law enforcement, we don't know where we stand," Digger informed WHSV in 2017. "We wonder every day if this is the day they're going to knock on our door."
Catch new episodes of Moonshiners every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
