Gianni DeCenzo of 'Cobra Kai' spoke exclusively with 'Distractify about Demetri's journey in Season 5, possible guest stars, and more.
After frenemies Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence are forced to near their respective dojos — Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang — due to dropping the All-Valley Tournament to Cobra Kai, Season 5 of the hit Netflix collection Cobra Kai will apply the duo as they work in combination to take down their largest opponent, Terry Silver.
Ahead of the Season 5 premiere of the Karate Kid derivative, Distractify spoke solely with Gianni DeCenzo who unfolded about Demetri's journey since becoming a member of Miyagi-Do, conceivable guest stars, and whether Johnny and Daniel will in truth stay friends.
Season 4 of Cobra Kai surely left lovers on a number of main cliffhangers — Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang are shutting down, Miguel is running away to Mexico looking for his father, Tori realizes she didn't in reality win the All-Valley Tournament, and a lot more.

Adding, "For my character, all I can say is you're gonna want to keep watching. Demetri has had, like, a lot of growth from Season 1 to now."
Elaborating on his persona's adventure, Gianni defined that during the previous 4 seasons, Demetri has "realized the importance of this [dojo] community," adding, "He'll do anything it takes to get Miyagi-Do back and running."
With Silver in regulate and franchising Cobra Kai all the way through the valley, Johnny and Daniel should once once more put their variations aside and come together to stop their largest adversary.
"[They have a] love-hate relationship. I don't know if they'll ever see eye to eye 100 percent of the time," Gianni told us. "But it's kind of cool to see them get along in some ways."
While Gianni indisputably guarantees that there will be some pretty epic struggle scenes, the actor also teased the potential of former Karate Kid stars making guest appearances in Cobra Kai Season 5.
For Karate Kid fans, OG characters from the loved '80s motion pictures have reprised their original roles in Netflix's Cobra Kai corresponding to Thomas Ian Griffith (aka Terry Silver), Yuji Okumoto (aka Okinawan karate master Chozen), and more.
So, it's protected to suppose that enthusiasts are hoping that any other member of The Karate Kid franchise will make an appearance in Season 5.

"I do know, but we'll see," Gianni teased. "It's possible. I think, you know, the creators of the show, they love to tie in the original with the new, and I think that's what makes Karate Kid and the Cobra Kai series so great."
"[The creators] don't just try to steal from the originals, they try to like, make it a new story, but combine the original trilogy with the new," he added. "I think that's something that a lot of other [reboots] fail [at]."
